The Hazelnut Company Ltd. was established in 1998 by a small group of enthusiastic hazelnut growers to serve as a co-operative business venture.
Today trading under the brand name Hazelz new zealand, the company has grown greatly since then. The Hazelnut Company Ltd. serves in excess of 100 grower shareholders all producing premium quality hazelnuts for the New Zealand local and export markets.
Hazelz new zealand processing factory opened in June 2003 allowing the company to produce high quality end products. It shifted in 2007 to Aylesbury.
